Society Activities
The Indonesian Heritage Society's varied activities provide a stepping stone to discovering the culture, life, history and art of this vast archipelago for those new to Indonesia as well as those who have lived in Jakarta all their lives. Please see the links below to each of the different areas in which the Heritage Society provides different types of activities that provide participants with opportunities to discover, explore, learn and outreach in Jakarta and throughout Indonesia.

Evening Lectures
Attend one of our centrally located Evening Lectures, which are open to the public in two six-lecture series a year.

School Programs
The objective of the School Program Section is to foster foreign students' appreciation of Indonesia's cultural and geographical diversity. Heritage Society participants provide guided discussions and slide presentations to students at the international schools of Jakarta.

French Speaking Section
The French-speaking section of the Indonesian Heritage Society models its activities after those offered by the English-speaking section while adapting them to the school calendar of the French International School. There are two “Decouvertes” offering cultural visits which are modeled after the Explorers, monthly lectures in French on Indonesian culture, tours of the Museum Nasional and travel tours.
For more information in both French and English, please click French Speaking Section.
Japanese Speaking Section
The Japanese Speaking Section was established in 2006 by unifying two groups, Japanese School Programs and Japanese Museum Tour Guides. There are on-going activities and lectures that are provided in the Japanese language.
